Gloria Steinem and Leymah Gbowee in Conversation at 92NY
Monday, February 2nd at 7:30pm ET
We’re honored to share that Leymah Gbowee, Founder of Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa-USA and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, will join legendary feminist organizer Gloria Steinem for a special conversation at the 92nd Street Y in New York City.
In dialogue with writer and activist Amy Richards, Steinem and Gbowee will reflect on decades of organizing, friendship, and global advocacy for women’s rights and peace. Together, they represent generations of leadership rooted in courage, collective power, and an unwavering commitment to justice.
The evening will explore the power of movement-building, cross-generational partnership, and the enduring impact of women working together for change. Their conversation is also inspired by their forthcoming children’s book, Rise, Girl, Rise: Our Sister-Friend Journey, Together for All, celebrating friendship, resilience, and activism.
We invite our community to join this inspiring evening of reflection and vision.
