Given a Fighting Chance

Hi, I am Veronica J. Tugbeh from Grand Kru county, born on July 18, 2004.
I endured a nine month hospital stay due to a serious medical condition and a life threatening battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. It was a time where I faced life and a time of unbearable pain and fear, as well as physical and emotional challenges. But with God my strength and determination never stopped me from fighting because God’s plans are different from mine and now I have more life ahead of me.
My experience with the Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa was nothing short of a miracle. During the most difficult times of my life when my family couldn’t afford treatment Gbowee Peace Foundation stepped in. They supported me by covering my medical bills, transportation and basic needs. They gave me a fighting chance, and that saved my life.
I am now currently a High School Graduate thanks to the Gbowee Peace foundation Africa. Their assistance in paying my school’s tuition made this possible, all thanks to all those that contributed to my educational success.
